AL 3003 is an alloy with very good corrosion resistance and moderate strength. It is not heat treatable and develops strengthening from cold working only.
This simplest alloy contains about 1.2% of manganese in addition to normal impurities and contains about 98 % pure aluminum. Other alloys may have 4 or 5 elements added. 3003 is used for general fabrication.
