15-5PH is a martensitic, precipitation hardening, chromium-nickel-copper stainless steel. The Stainless Steel 15-5 alloy combines good strength, transverse toughness and ductility, hardness capability and corrosion resistance compared with 304 stainless. 15-5PH may be used in the solution treated condition or heat treated to obtain a wide variety of properties.

17-4 PH
17-4PH is a martensitic precipitation/aged-hardening stainless steel offering high strength and hardness along with excellent corrosion resistance. It has good fabricating characteristics and can be age hardened by a single step, low temperature treatment. 17-7 PH is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel that provides high strength and hardness, excellent fatigue properties, good corrosion resistance, good formability, and minimum distortion upon heat treatment.

Austenitic stainless steel typically used for elevated temperature applications. Type 316 is austenitic, non-magnetic, and thermally nonhardenable stainless steel like Type 304. The carbon content is held to 0.08% maximum, while the nickel content is increased slightly. Grades 321 and 347 are the basic austenitic 18/8 steel (Grade 304) stabilised by Titanium (321) or Niobium (347) additions. These grades are used because they are not sensitive to intergranular corrosion after heating within the carbide precipitation range of 425-850°C. Grade 321 is the grade of choice for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900°C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion.

330 is an austenitic, nickel-chromium-iron-silicon alloy. It resists the absorption of carbon and nitrogen, making it an excellent alloy for furnace components. Greek Ascoloy (418) is a hardenable chromium-nickel-tungsten martensitic alloy that is designed for services at temperature up to 1200 °F in highly stressed parts.

420 stainless steel is a higher carbon version of 410; it can be hard ned by heat treat. It contains a minimum of 12 per cent chromium, just sufficient to give corrosion resistance properties. It has good ductility in the annealed condition but is capable of being hardened up to Rockwell Hardness 50HRC, the highest hardness of the 12 per cent chromium grades.
